We ask you to complete the first 7 modules before your arrival in Cuernavaca, as we will discuss them during orientation. Stay tuned to your Augsburg email for information on how to access the platform closer to the start of your semester.
We have used copies of SOME required texts available for rent in Mexico for US $10 - $40 (depending upon the book and the course). However, if you are in the Social Work program and are taking SWK 271 (Comparative Social Policy), SWK 316 (Working with Groups and Families), &/or SWK 317 (Fieldwork), you will need to rent or purchase copies of the texts for those courses at least 4-6 weeks BEFORE coming to Mexico! Please see the book information below.
You will also need to order your Spanish text books 4-6 weeks in advance if you are taking SPA 111, SPA 112, SPA 211, SPA 212, 218, &/or SPA 311 or SPA 337. Please see the books listed below and in the course syllabi. You can order them through the Augsburg University bookstore or online.
For used copies of books available in Mexico, please the prices for each book below. We aim to keep our book rental affordable, but please let us know if you have any concerns. You should plan to spend the equivalent of approximately US$ 20-40 per course (for typically 4 courses) with the exception of the Social Work courses mentioned above (SWK 271, 316, and 317).
If you want to buy or rent your own copies of the books, that is fine, too.
