Friends and family can reach you if they need to during your time in Costa Rica. Before your departure, CGEE will provide you with direct-dial emergency numbers for the places where you will be staying. It is much less expensive to call from the United States to Costa Rica than vice versa. Most of the accommodations CGEE uses do not have phones in the rooms. Some, but not all, have Wi-Fi. We recommend that participants use their own cell phone for international calls.
