This song, “Tree of Life,” is about the abundance of God’s love. I wrote the lyrics while keeping in mind what we learned in class during The Confluence. Specifically, I wrote about one lesson where we learned who the Bible was written about and for—people who are suffering and persecuted. The song is an invitation to join and rejoice in God’s love as symbolized by the Tree of Life, and is especially aimed towards people who may need that invitation the most but are unable to believe that it’s meant for them. The song begins with a nod to what we learned about the two separate stories of creation, and then moves into the main message of acceptance and unending love.
