The Auglaize County Crisis Center provides a network of safety for adult and child victims of domestic violence through 24-hour emergency crisis response, safety planning, shelter and case management. This agency is the only agency in Auglaize County providing shelter, food, case management and programming to survivors of family violence. These life altering programs assist adult and child survivors of domestic violence in strengthening their skills toward independence and self-direction. Each survivor secures a channel of safety through, emergency and transitional shelter (up to 90 days), food, basic needs, case management, legal advocacy, civil protection orders, transportation, financial empowerment education, and non-residential programs with a nine month follow up service. All of the above noted services are free of charge to all served. Additionally, this program provides information and referral, individual and group sessions in domestic violence, dating violence, parenting enrichment, anger management and family crisis management in order to build a foundation toward stabilizing and developing self- sufficiency and independence.
The Crisis Center serves both residential and non-residential survivors of domestic violence, that is, those that require the shelter for safety and those that require services but not shelter. The shelter program provides a 90 day stay with 30-day reviews of goals, both immediate and long term. New goals are established at the end of every 30-day period.

Agape Ministries, Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization that has operated for 40 years in our community.
Our mission statement is to provide for those in need in Western Auglaize County.
Agape maintains a separate building known as the Client Services Building. It is here that we operate the Agape Choice Pantry, administer all Agape Programs, and maintain food inventory, administrative offices and other needs of the organization. It is here that we also have a small worship area known as our House of Hope.
Food assistance may be received every 30 days. All clients will be asked to sign a USDA Eligibility to Take Food Home Form which clearly states that by signing you are providing a self declaration that your income does not exceed 200% of the poverty level per household size. Clients will also be asked if all information is still accurate or if changes should be made to their file.
In order to assure assistance, we ask that clients arrive at least fifteen (15) minutes prior to the ending time for each pantry period. This allows our volunteers to best serve all those in need.
To be eligible to receive food from the Agape Food Pantry, you must be a resident of Western Auglaize County which covers Minster, New Bremen, New Knoxville and St. Marys. Picture identification is required for all residents of a household who are 18 years of age or older. This can be a Driver’s License, State Identification, Student Identification, etc. A proof of residency is required each and every time a visit is made to the Agape Pantry. This must be a legitimate piece of mail with the individuals name, address and a visible date not exceeding thirty (30) days prior to the visit for all residents of the household who are 18 years of age or older. An example of this would be a utility bill, cable bill, telephone bill, etc.
Agape Food Pantry provides its services with Compassion, Honesty, Respect, Integrity, Support and Thoughtfulness.
The Food Pantry hours are:
Tuesday from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m.
Thursday from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m.

providing schools, families, and community partners with the tools they need to work together so all children have success in learning and life, including resources for remote learning and pandemic resources
For Educators:
At this particularly challenging time, Ohio’s homeless students are among the most vulnerable and need our best efforts and dedicated commitment to support their needs. The McKinney-Vento Homeless Children and Youth Program ensures all homeless children and youth, including preschoolers, have equal access to the same free and appropriate public education as non-homeless children and youth. The Ohio Department of Education and districts receive McKinney-Vento funds to provide support and services to ensure homeless students receive an equitable education. The Department is repurposing McKinney-Vento funds and recommends districts provide additional support to homeless students during Ohio’s ordered school-building closure.

Our mission is “to provide timely, effective, and efficient assessment, treatment, and support services for the residents of the surrounding areas who are experiencing or are impacted by behavioral health disorders.” Mental and substance use disorders affect people from all walks of life and age groups. These illnesses are common, recurrent, and often serious, but they are treatable and many people do recover. It is estimated that 20% of the population will experience a behavioral health disorder at some time in their lives.
To accomplish this mission, we hire professional clinical staff to meet the needs of our clients. We believe that local residents should not have to travel long distances to receive professional behavioral health services. We truly provide professional services – close to home. We are certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, and our core programs are accredited by CARF, an international accrediting organization with rigorous standards.
We are a contract agency of the Tri-County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services Board serving Mercer, Van Wert, and Paulding Counties. We are a not for profit corporation, an equal opportunity employer and provider, and we abide by non-discrimination policies.
