PRIVACY POLICY
PaceIQ — Developed by Audiospot
Last Updated: July 2026
1. INTRODUCTION
PaceIQ ("the App") is developed and operated by Audiospot ("we," "us," or "our").
This Privacy Policy describes how the App collects, uses, and stores information
when you use PaceIQ on iPhone and Apple Watch.
By using PaceIQ, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. DATA COLLECTION AND USE
2.1 Health Data (Apple HealthKit)
PaceIQ requests access to your Apple Health data for the sole purpose of
displaying and analyzing your workout performance. The following data types
may be read from Apple HealthKit, subject to your explicit authorization:
- Workout data (type, distance, duration, calories burned)
- Walking and running speed
- Heart rate (during workout and resting heart rate)
- Heart rate recovery (one-minute post-workout)
- Step count
- Running dynamics (stride length, ground contact time,
vertical oscillation, running power — Apple Watch Series 6+ only)
- Body mass and height (used for physiological calculations)
- Date of birth and biological sex (used to personalize
heart rate zone calculations)
When you complete a guided workout on your Apple Watch, PaceIQ saves that
workout — including its route and the standard workout metrics recorded
during the session — to Apple Health, so your training history stays together
with your other activity data. Apart from saving your own completed workouts,
PaceIQ does not write any other data to Apple Health. All HealthKit data
remains on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers, shared with
third parties, or used for advertising purposes.
2.2 Location Data
PaceIQ uses your device location for the following purposes only:
Apple Watch: GPS coordinates are used during active workout sessions to
calculate distance, pace, and route tracking.
iPhone: Location is used contextually when you access the Weather-Adjusted
Pace feature to fetch real-time weather conditions.
Location data is processed only for these purposes. Aside from your completed
workout's route, which is saved to Apple Health as described in Section 2.1,
it is not stored beyond the active session context.
PaceIQ does not operate its own servers, so your location is never
sent to any Audiospot server. When weather is needed, your location coordinates
are sent to a weather provider solely to retrieve conditions for that location:
Apple WeatherKit by default, or, if WeatherKit is unavailable,
a third-party weather service, Open-Meteo (https://open-meteo.com).
Only the coordinates required for the forecast are sent — no health data
or personal identifiers are included — and your location is never used for
advertising or to track you across other apps or websites.
2.3 Weather Data
When you use the Weather-Adjusted Pace feature, PaceIQ requests current
weather conditions (temperature, humidity, wind speed) for your location
via Apple WeatherKit. This data is used solely within the App to calculate
pace adjustments and is not stored on external servers.
2.4 Purchase and Subscription Data
PaceIQ uses Apple StoreKit 2 and a third-party service, RevenueCat,
to manage subscriptions (Free, Pro, and Elite tiers) and validate
in-app purchases. When you make a purchase, the payment is securely
processed by Apple. PaceIQ does not collect, store, or have access to
your payment information (such as credit card details). To manage your
subscription status across your devices and securely validate entitlements,
we share anonymous purchase receipt data and an anonymous App User ID
with RevenueCat. RevenueCat does not receive personal identifiable
information (like your name or email) from PaceIQ.
2.5 User Preferences and App Data
PaceIQ stores the following preferences locally on your device:
- Unit system preference (metric/imperial)
- Color scheme preference
- Language selection
- Default workout type
- Notification preferences
- Birth year (if provided during onboarding)
This data is stored in Apple UserDefaults and an App Group shared container
(used to share data between the iPhone app and Apple Watch app). It is never
transmitted externally.
2.6 AI Analyst Feature
The AI Analyst feature generates a structured workout summary that you may
voluntarily copy to your clipboard. This summary is assembled entirely on
your device. PaceIQ does not transmit this data anywhere. Any use of the
copied content with a third-party AI service is governed by that service's
own privacy policy.
2.7 Social Sharing
PaceIQ includes an optional sharing feature that lets you create a
shareable image of a completed workout. This image may include
your workout statistics (such as pace, distance, elapsed time,
and top speed), a drawing of your route, weather conditions,
and — if you choose photo mode — a photo you select from
your device. The image is composed entirely on your device.
Sharing only happens when you actively choose it.
When you do, PaceIQ hands the finished image to your
chosen destination — Instagram, Facebook, or the standard
iOS share sheet — using Apple's standard sharing mechanisms.
PaceIQ does not transmit this image to any Audiospot server, and it
uses no Instagram, Facebook, or Meta software development kit, analytics,
or tracking. Once the image reaches a third-party app such as Instagram
or Facebook, that app's own privacy policy governs how it is handled.
To support this feature, PaceIQ may access a photo you select as
the background of your share image, and — with your permission — may
save a generated share image to your device's photo library. Neither
action transmits your photos anywhere; they remain on your device
unless you choose to share them.
3. DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION
All health and fitness data collected by PaceIQ is stored on your device
using Apple's native frameworks: SwiftData, UserDefaults, and HealthKit.
PaceIQ does not operate its own external servers, databases, or cloud storage;
the only information held off your device is the anonymous subscription
data processed by RevenueCat, as described in the Data Sharing section.
Your data remains under your full control at all times.
Workout records stored within PaceIQ can be deleted at any time
from within the App or from Apple Health.
4. DATA SHARING
PaceIQ is designed with privacy in mind.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share your health
or personal fitness data with any third party for that third party's
own purposes. Your data leaves your device only in these limited cases:
- Weather: your location coordinates are sent to a weather provider
— Apple WeatherKit, or, as a fallback, the third-party service Open-Meteo (https://open-meteo.com)
— solely to retrieve current weather for your location.
- Subscriptions: anonymous purchase receipt data and an anonymous app
user identifier are processed by RevenueCat to validate your
subscription and manage your access tier.
- Install attribution: an anonymous Apple Search Ads attribution token
may be collected through Apple's AdServices framework (via RevenueCat)
to measure whether your installation originated from an Apple Search Ads campaign.
- Social sharing: when you explicitly choose to share a workout, the share image you generated — which may include your workout statistics, route, weather, and any photo you selected — is handed to your chosen destination (Instagram, Facebook, or the iOS share sheet) through Apple's standard sharing mechanisms. This happens only at your initiative.
We do not use third-party advertising networks, we do not display ads in the app,
and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Specifically, we continue to guarantee:
- No health or personal fitness data leaves your device automatically. It leaves your device only when you explicitly choose to share a workout image via the in-app sharing feature. Location data leaves your device only to fetch weather, as described above.
- No analytics services tracking your behavior (no Firebase, Mixpanel, etc.)
- No third-party advertising networks and no in-app ads.
PaceIQ collects only an anonymous Apple Search Ads attribution token
(via Apple AdServices, through RevenueCat) to measure install-campaign attribution;
it is never used to display ads or to track you across other apps.
- No crash reporting services that transmit personal data
- No cloud backends operated by Audiospot
5. THIRD-PARTY FRAMEWORKS AND SERVICES
PaceIQ uses the following Apple-provided frameworks that operate under
Apple's own privacy policies (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/):
- Apple HealthKit — health and fitness data
- Apple WeatherKit — real-time weather data
- Apple StoreKit 2 — subscription processing
- Apple WatchConnectivity — communication between iPhone and Apple Watch
- Apple CoreLocation — GPS and location services
In addition, we use the following third-party service:
- RevenueCat — backend subscription validation and entitlement management.
By purchasing a subscription, you acknowledge that anonymous receipt data
is processed by RevenueCat. You can review RevenueCat's Privacy Policy at:
https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/
- Open-Meteo (https://open-meteo.com)
— a third-party weather service used as a fallback when Apple WeatherKit is unavailable.
It receives your location coordinates for the sole purpose of returning current weather for that location.
- Apple AdServices (Apple Search Ads attribution) — used, through RevenueCat,
to collect an anonymous attribution token that indicates whether your
installation originated from an Apple Search Ads campaign.
Each third-party service named above is contractually required to protect the
limited data it receives to a standard consistent with this Privacy Policy,
and to use that data only to provide the service described here.
6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
PaceIQ is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly
collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child
has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at the
address below.
7. YOUR RIGHTS AND CONTROLS
You retain full control over your data at all times:
- HealthKit access: Manage or revoke at any time via
iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → PaceIQ
- Location access: Manage via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security →
Location Services → PaceIQ
- Workout records: Delete from within the App or Apple Health
- Subscription: Manage via iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions
- Data deletion requests: Because PaceIQ keeps almost no data off your
device, you can remove essentially all of your information yourself using
the controls above. For the limited anonymous subscription data held by
RevenueCat, you may request deletion at any time by emailing
sagi@audiospot.audio.
8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in App features or
applicable law. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this document will
reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes
acceptance of the revised policy.
9. Contact Us
