Kinetic is a new competition, exclusively offered to Kiwis. Students will have a few months to create a prototype and business model for an app that meets the requirements of a problem statement.
Our primary focus is on preparing students for a more extensive international competition called Technovation. Regardless of your future intentions, however, there are many prizes up for grabs and experiences worth having in Kinetic alone. From meeting executives at Google to learning about satellites first-hand from engineers at the University of Auckland, there's a lot to gain with Kinetic!

HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS
Kinetic is open to all students aged 8-18 and comes with its own list of prizes and networking opportunities for all its participants. With mentors from Google to Rocket Labs, this is an opportunity you don’t want to miss!
Students in teams of 2-6 members can compete in the following divisions:
Beginner: Ages 8 - 12
Junior: Ages 13 - 15
Senior: Ages 16 - 18
Each team will have to prepare a pitch for an app (they can create a prototype using Flutter or Android Studio or just have a paper prototype) that solves the problem statement. Senior teams will have to also develop a business case to support their solution. These teams will then be able to pitch their app concept to a panel of judges on December 10th 2022, to be in to win prizes.
