Project Description

My research project focuses on studying the transport of ions in defective crystals under electric field using classical potential models in molecular dynamics simulations. The study might provide insight into the applicability of the current theoretical models of field-enhanced ion diffusion, particularly in systems where polarization effects are appreciable. The materials under investigation are CeO2 and SiO2.
