Module 2 (Minor Module): Creativity & Your Career
In this part, students will explore how creativity connects to their career choices. They will learn how to highlight their individual strengths and the job suitability of a particular position so that they can be easily distinguished from the other candidates by the prospective employers.
Assessment/Grading Criteria:
No Exams: There are no midterm or final exams.
Grading Assignments: Each assignment will be graded based on specific rubrics, considering both individual and group work, along with peer feedback.
Clear Expectations: Detailed briefs for all assignments will outline expectations.
Writing Standards: Students must write at university-level English. Language errors may lead to point deductions, but students can rewrite essays with significant issues until they meet the required standard.
Importance of Attendance: Attendance is important, as absences can impact participation grades. If a student must miss a class, they should inform me beforehand or immediately after.
Course Grading
Late Assignments
Students are responsible for making up missed work. Late submissions will lose points: 10% off within the first 24 hours and 20% off within the second 24 hours. No submissions will be accepted after 48 hours, resulting in a zero grade.
Assignment Submission
Assignment Submission: All written assignments are to be submitted on www.turnitin.com on the due date. Late submissions up to 48 hours will incur penalties. Other work formats should comply with copyright laws and be submitted in person or via the assigned Google Drive folder. Submitting someone else's work for you is not allowed.
Attendance Policy
All classes must be attended by all students. Students MAY NOT miss more than 6 classes, or they will fail the course. Attending online classes is as important as attending in-person sessions. Absences are the responsibility of the student to keep track of.
Participation Policy
You must come to class prepared to participate in discussions, including well-thought-out responses to prompts and questions. Participation points will be lost if the instructor is not informed of an absence. Refer to the instructor for information on makeup for miss participation.
Academic Integrity Policy
Academic integrity is of utmost importance. Cheating, plagiarism, and the presentation of someone else’s work as that of your own are prohibited. If it’s used in assignments, it needs to be properly cited to avoid plagiarism. However, the use of AI tools in completing challenges is acceptable as long as the use is disclosed, and any questions should be checked with the instructor. Cases of suspected academic dishonesty will be referred to the Academic Integrity Committee.
If you are unsure about whether something may be plagiarism or another form of academic dishonesty, please reach out to me to discuss it as soon as possible. For more elaboration about the AUC academic integrity policy, please check this link.
