To recap the 2023-2024 school year students talk and share about their experiences in the electives N.A.P.S (National Association of Power Sleep) and how to procrastinate. In these classes you will learn a lot about two very important skills. In the naps you will learn the best brands for sleep masks, pajamas, bed types, best mattresses, and even a depante unit on Memory Foam vs regular.
“I learned a lot of skills I will keep on using for the rest of my life,” sixth-grader John Chalmbers said.
In N.A.P.S class you also learn the art of sleeping and best sleep schedules.
“I think that my favorite part is the debate and learning about sleep” Chalmbers also said
But the hardest part of N.A.P.S are the exams in the last two weeks of class. In this section are the final exams where you are graded on your sleep and you sleep wear.
“I definitely struggled in the exams. I just could not fall asleep! Maybe that is why I got an F-?” Chalmbers said.
In the end students learned a lot and have skills that they will share with family and friends.
“I definitely can report better sleep. I was napping in class so hard that I almost missed this interview!”
The teacher also is very familiar with sleep and has a lot to share with students.
“Mr. Hipnos has a lot to share and is an amazing teacher.” Charlbers said
N.A.P.S is not the only elective that was new this year. There is also how to procrastinate where you learn the best games to play instead of work, best ways to not do work, and best excuses when you procrastinate.
“After how to procrastinate I have 90 missing assignments and my gpa has dropped by 3 points. I have never been happier!” seventh-grader Josh Chambers said.
In this class you are marked down for being on task and if your work is less then a week late you get marked down
“I definitely love the grading system in this class, it really lets me connect with my phone.” Josh Chalmbers also said.
If you are interested in joining the how to procrastinate class, it will take a whole semester to learn the whole art of procrastination.
“In class the teacher takes a whole week to write the heading, and while she is trying to write the headline we are on our phones!” Newo Sawh said.
The class is taught by Mrs. Wime-Daster who has mastered the art of procrastination to do so she attend 15 different universities and has taken 70 years.
“Our teacher is super good at procrastinating, she demonstrates it in her teaching” Newo Sawh
If you are tired all day or get too much work done then these classes are for you. If you would like to sign up go to either Mrs. Wime-Daster or Mr. Hipnos to sign up.
“The N.A.P.S class has changed my life” John Chalmbers said. “And I can’t wait try out the procrastination class.”
