A new spinoff of the hit mockumentary “The Office” has been announced. This spinoff features the staff members of an average middle school office facing incredibly exaggerated and over-the-top issues that many school staff face today making it a show hilarious for both the older and younger audiences.
“It’s a hilarious show! The obviously low budget adds a certain level of charm to it,” an anonymous reviewer from RottenPotatoes wrote. “I’d definitely recommend adding this one to the watchlist.”
The show's writers, despite several dozen strikes during production due to long hours and unsafe conditions, have put forth a tremendous amount of effort in order to help the show air on time.
“We have several top-notch writers, props specialists, actors, and soundtrack producers all working tirelessly to make this happen!” the director, who wished to remain anonymous, stated. “In fact, we’re sure the show is going to be a success right off the bat! It better be, because I have student loans to pay off! Wait, actually, that should be off the record. Erase that. Please.”
Although the director is quite confident with the show, a few, more dedicated fans of The Office are worried about the show sticking to the original feel of The Office.
“It’s clearly just another cash grab. We’ve had sooo many seasons and spinoffs.” obsessed fan Schwite Dute said. “Nothing will ever live up to the original. Nothing. Not even my own kids will ever make me as proud as I am of The Office.”
Even with older fans complaining that the show is both too different from and riding on the coattails of the hit show, one thing the fans can agree upon is the characters are certainly fun and complex. The show features novel, exciting characters such as Mrs. Ritzgerald, Mr. Natve, Miss Smims, and Principal Blue
“[Mrs. Ritzgerald] makes me laugh,” eighth-grader Vanessa Liddijacket said. “Every time she’s on screen I smile!”
With so many fans and so much attention garnered already, the production team has been in rush mode, already announcing a release date.
“February 31st, 2025 is the day the show will hit streaming platforms. Mark your calendars folks!” the director stated. “And be sure to invest in all new merchandise coming out alongside the show! It’d be a great help to both me and the continuation of the show, Especially to me. Please, just open your walle- heart.”
All together, the show has gained mostly positive attention from younger fans who are excited to see a “less millennial version of a mockumentary”.
“I can't wait,” eighth-grader Bin Alonzo said. “It’s so skibidi! Mr. Natve is such a sigma!”
