Recently, a new set of "heroes" has been discovered amid the teaching staff at MBMS. These teachers have admitted to owning side jobs and secret lives as heroes, but what exactly do they do after teaching hours are over?
An initial observation on the security cameras at night has led to the discovery that the 400 hall teachers, Mrs. Anderson, Mr. Carter, and Mr. Warring, host “secret nightly hero meetings” at around 10 p.m. It’s not known what goes on in there, but typically, there’s a lot of whirring at the beginning of each meeting, like an elevator; some sort of way to get to a hideout?
“What? What are you talking about—there’s definitely the hero thing going on, but there is absolutely no secret elevator leading to a secret base of operations. Whose class are you from?” Mrs. Anderson said when questioned about the elevator rumors.
Some students also believe that the teachers are using old textbooks, cabinets, props, and much more seemingly meager items as decoys to hide high-tech gadgets.
"I dunno what kind of stuff they're hiding, but it's gotta be very important because when I walked up to Mr. Carter's shelves one time to grab a compass, as soon as I reached my hand out, he suddenly appeared beside me, urged me to put my hand back in its resting position, and told me 'Let me get that for you." Maybe he was trying to be nice or something but I don't really buy it," eighth-grader Liam Guhlibel said.
Additional off-campus sightings suggest that the three have formed a “Teaching League” to help do good in the local community, such as assisting with crime prevention, contributing to charity, and distributing homework to random people who don't even need it. The Teaching League has also been seen taking down some underground stuff at our school such as the selling and purchasing of off-brand snacks at the Dawg House.
“I mean, I definitely knew all this beforehand because I got a small peek of their recruitment flyers on Mr. Carter’s table—but tell me why I also saw a giant stack of homework papers, completely filled out, with my mom and dad's names on them?” eighth-grader Luka Lyes said when asked for his experience about the situation.
"Mrs. Periodic"
Superpower: Elements
She can create any element from the periodic table in any state of matter.
"I told you, there is literally nothing secret in my classroom to be found."
Afterschool Pastime: Fighting Crime
"Seriously, why am I the only one who actually does real hero work? The others just goof around. I see Mr. Carter calling our agency everyday saying that he's sick so he can go to his night school.
"King Numbers"
Superpower: Multiplication
He can create clones/multiples of himself and things he touches.
"My power is pretty handy when I want to organize stuff in my classroom."
Afterschool Pastime: Night School
"It's pretty fun, I just send in a clone dressed up like a student and nobody knows. My favorite thing to do with my clones is shoving pencil lead into the Chromebooks there.
"The Listener"
Superpower: Information
He is aware of and knows about everything within a certain radius of him
"You can't hide anything from me. I know what you did last period..."
Afterschool Pastime: Eavesdropping
"I know it sounds weird, but I promise I've got a good reason for it—it's just that I can't say why because I have reasons for that too."
Although a bit odd, these powers are definitely ones you should look out for, especially Mr. Carter’s “Multiplication.” It’s said that anybody who has been on the other side of it has never come out unscathed, except those he is friendly with. Mr. Warring’s “Super Sense” is also pretty fearsome; there are rumors that even after school, you should always keep an eye out behind you.
Despite being teachers, these three definitely have quite lively pastimes after school and work is over. Perhaps one day, their legend will grow, whispered and spread across all the hallways. For now though, the Teaching League remains humble, in good spirits, and busy at work!
At night, in the dimly lit 400 hall at MBMS, light is shown leaking out from Mrs. Anderson's room. Nobody is in the building except for the ones in her room who are present for a very secretive meeting. During some days of the school week, after all the other staff have left for the day, Mrs. Anderson, Mr. Carter, and Mr. Warring host secret hero meetings in Mrs. Anderson's room to discuss operations and give reports to each other. "I know I'm a hero, but I have a job as a teacher too, so I might as well make the most out of having a classroom to myself," Mrs. Anderson said when questioned why she hosts her meetings at the school.
