During summer break, students came together to operate a master plan to renovate MBMS with the permission of the school board.
This picture shows how different the cafeteria would look after the renovation. There will be different food booths provided like McDonald's, Domino's, etc. PHOTO ILLUSTRATION BY A.KAUR & L.CHO VIA CANVA
For starters, the cafeteria will contain booths of popular fast food chains. In the morning for breakfast, Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks booths will be available. For lunch, McDonald's and Domino's will be available for purchase. Students can also work in the food booths as an elective. They can earn money and it promotes future life experiences!
"I think the new change has a positive impact on our school," eighth-grader Kimberly Bailey said. "The elective is really cool too. It was nice getting to experience a working job."

Squeaky hard chairs in classrooms are exchanged with comfortable bean bags! You can even customize it before school starts so you can have your own unique bean bag. And why not have access to everything in one device? Instead of paper and textbooks, it could be easier to just carry a tablet than a heavy binder!
"It's so much easier to carry around!" sixth-grader Melissa Carter said. "Plus, the bean bags are a nice decorative touch!"

The gym is currently being planned to turn into a movie theater. It will be presented with a big screen and comfortable seating. The movies played will be voted on by students. Every grade can vote on a movie. There will be three separate theater rooms for each grade in the previous gym.
"I never really thought this was even possible!" seventh-grader Thomas Gray said.

Yay! A new cafe is added to the library! The Bulldog Cafe will feature drinks, snacks, treats, and pastries. Some of the snacks that will be provided are a latte, a cookie with a paw design, a drink that has all the Baker colors, and a donut with a design of our beloved mascot, Victor E. Bulldog.
"This is such a nice addition to the library!" eighth-grader Jackson Richardson said. "It's definitely more cozy and better to hang out with friends and get yummy snacks."

Perfect towards the end of the year, the track and field will open a water park! There will be rides, water slides, and of course a wave pool! It will feature an epic ride called "The Baker Blowout." It will be a massive water slide starting from the very top of the school building down into the pool!
"Wow, this is such a big change to our school," sixth-grade Kade Martin said. "It's like a private mini waterpark just for our school!"
