Students at Mount Baker Middle School come to school for the first time along with their pets, for the new holiday “Bring Your Pet to School Day,” which ends up going terribly wrong.
The first day of the new holiday “Bring Your Pet to School Day,” took place on April 29th, 2022. This holiday was created because people got tired of “Bring Your Child to Work Day” and wanted something new and different.
“Between you and I, yes I can talk and I have been loving school, especially the cafeteria with the carrots,” Pete the rabbit said.
Everything in the cafeteria was going well until a pet monkey started a food fight.
“I was just in line to get my food, and I noticed my monkey got mad at the person in front of me,” The monkey’s owner said. “I think the reason he was so angry was that the person in front of me took the last banana left, so my monkey took their tray and threw it on the ground which ended up starting the food fight.”
After the food fight, you would usually need a janitor to help clean the mess. But after looking around, Miss.T the janitor was nowhere to be found.
“I am well aware everyone was looking for me after the food fight. But the truth is, I am scared of animals,” Miss T said with tears in her eyes. “I would have come to help, but I didn’t want to face the embarrassment, especially while crying.”
The whole school had noticed the weird amount of animals that had walked through the door that day. It was so shocking, that even the other animals had to stop and take double-takes.
“I did see some pretty weird animals today but definitely not this many and not this weird,” Sixth-grader Thomas Jones said. “ Yeah, one of the weirdest things I have seen in my Sixth-grade year!”
After everyone that had happened that day, everyone thought the chaos of the new holiday was over until people heard something going on in the hallway.
“I’m sure the whole school had heard the noise going on at this point,” Mr. P said. “I walked into the hallway and saw a rabbit lying there dead on the ground, next to an alligator.”
The first day of the new holiday, “Bring Your Pet to School Day,” had its ups and downs. And luckily, we all survived it. Well, at least most of us did.
