Meet the Science teacher behind the mukbang YouTube sensation!
Mr. Larson, a teacher you wouldn’t suspect to be behind a multi-million dollar worth YouTube channel, consisting of Mukbang videos.
Mukbang, which is a type of content on many social media platforms, is an eating show where someone will sit in front of a camera and consume various varieties of foods while talking and providing a form of entertainment.
Steve Mean, a student here at MBMS who has experience in the mukbang business said, “Well shucks, I have been doing mukbang for about some time now! It really is an all around insanely amazing experience, being able to eat my favorite foods on camera while also making money off people who also enjoy me eating my favorite foods on camera!”
The question that has really been rising is how did science teacher Mr. Larson started doing these mukbangs in the first place? He seemingly has collected over 9 million subscribers and is extremely successful.
A talk with his self proclaimed “biggest fan”, John Chalmers, said, “ I have been watching Mr. Larson’s youtube channel, Feasting With Larson, since day one! He originally started making tutorials on specific science experiments, but one day he forgot he was recording… he started eating lunch on camera. That video got over 50 million views that day… and ever since Mr. Larson has been consumed by the internet sensation that is mukbang.”
Handfuls of students have been visiting Mr. Larson, even if they have never had him for class, just to ask to feature in one of his famous videos. Not to mention all the amazing, jaw dropping, delectable foods in Mr. Larson’s videos! Things like McDonalds, Bowls of cheese, and every type of sea food known to man, all make appearances on Larson’s Youtube Feasting With Larson.

“Before discovering Feasting With Larson, I lived a sad, lonely life with nothing and no one to love or believe in,” Student Sans Sans said. “The day I saw Mr. Larson’s youtube it’s like my life got up and turned around!
Larson’s many devoted fans are what keep the channel alive and well! His videos average anywhere from 100-200 million views and are posted on almost every social media platform ranging from Tik-Tok, YouTube, Instagram, and even Tumblr!
“As Mr. Larson’s biggest fan, I can speak of behalf of everyone when I say we don't just appreciate his exceptional efforts in teaching students science, but we also appreciate the warmth in our hearts and the smiles on our faces when we see him upload another groundbreaking mukbang video for us all to watch and enjoy!” Chalmers said.
