Parents and Students : I will be conducting class with the usual via Google Classroom as we have been using this online resource all year. I will be posting the regular "weekly update" on Mondays around 11am. Students can message me through classroom, via email, or simply comment on a post or assignment (as others may have the same questions). I sent home some materials for students to use in some upcoming projects, if your student did not receive them I will devise some alternatives. Stay safe, stay healthy (wash your hands), and enjoy a walk outside each day. We will get through this together!
Teaching since 1993
My name is Regina Grubb. I have been proudly teaching Horticulture Science at Auburn Mountainview High School since it opened its doors in 2005. I grew up in East Renton and attended Oliver M. Hazen High School. I received by B.S. in Plant Science with an emphasis in Landscape Horticulture from the University of Idaho and finished courses towards my M.S. in Agriculture with an emphasis in Urban and Sustainable Agriculture at Washington State University. I worked in a variety of settings after college: greenhouse grower, landscape management, nursery manager, indoor plant technician, floral designer to name a few. I also ran my own landscape design, consulting and contracting business for 14 years. I have two fantastic adult children making an impact in their prospective careers in Environmental Studies and Robotics. I love spending time outdoors, especially in my garden and out on a good hike or a weekend camping. I enjoy knitting, researching genealogy and solving puzzles when I am not planning my next adventure.
