ABOUT ME: I'm a native of Texas, and moved here long enough to raise my children, who are both in college now. I have been teaching for almost FIFTEEN!! years at Mt. Baker Middle School, in whichever grade I am needed that year, so I have taught 6th, 7th and 8th regularly. I have degrees in Biology and Education, with career backgrounds in medical office work and computers. I took a career break to be a stay-at-"home" mom, as I volunteered for just about everything and anything involving my children. I love to travel, and my weekends are spent with friends, or relaxing through gardening, painting and competing at trivia in local eateries. My passions for the environment and health inform my teaching, as well as my hope to support student excellence and encourage a desire for life-long learning.
Every year I fall in love with my students because I recognize their unique, wonderful and amazing personalities. My classroom is a safe, welcoming, environment for all students :)
