Self-paced courses lasting two to three hours on a variety of technology topics, from Google Drive and Classroom to Digital Citizenship and Online Research.
DSL hosts a Fall, Winter, and Spring Training Series that offers sessions to fulfill both FCS and General Certificate hours.
If you find you are unable to attend an offered session, you may complete hours through pdEnroller. This is paid out of pocket and eligible for reimbursement (up to the amount funded by the State).
To search for a training:
Select "More Events" to view the course catalog.
For FCS specific offerings, select "FCS Hours" under the "Credits" filter
As additional training, Paraeducators may complete these two certificates and it will count towards the General Certificate hours (70), which, if funded, need to be done within 3 years after the 28 FCS hours are completed.
The certificate trainings will not count towards the FCS requirements. You must keep track of proof of completion and keep it to turn in with your completed FCS hours.
As a reminder, the specialized ones expire every 5 years, and there is a cost to get the certificate which is not funded currently. Additional training on this site is optional as well, and cannot currently be applied to any of the requirements.
