Rainier has a limited number of instruments for students to use free of charge. If you need an instrument let Ms. Lede know ASAP.
If your instrument isn't working correctly, the first thing Ms. Lede will do is try to diagnose the issue over the internet. This might include email or a google meet with the student and their family. Especially while learning virtually, it's important for family members to join the google meets so they know how the instrument is fixed. If we cannot fix the problem over the internet, Ms. Lede might schedule a time for you to come to Rainier, where we can do a socially distant repair. Lastly, if it's a larger issue, you will need to take your instrument in to the shop from where you rent your instrument. They should give you a loaner instrument while they work on yours.
For some small accessories, Ms. Lede can provide you with what you need. However, families will be responsible for most things. Check out www.wwbw.com for all your instrument needs. Please ask if you have questions, and stay away from box stores, Amazon, and eBay.
