Thanks for visiting the Cascade Counselor Corner! 

We are the school counselors serving the Cascade community. Some of you may be wondering  just what a school counselor does. The short answer is that a school counselor is here to remove barriers to learning. These barriers could be pretty much anything that is getting in the way of kids being successful in school: stress, family issues, grades, friends, pets, homework, or many other things. We are here to support the amazing Cascade students!

Vision Statement: Cascade Spartans will be empowered to reach their potential and be supported for growth in academic, socio-emotional, and career developmental areas. In partnership with community stakeholders, student’s will be challenged to be lifelong learners, overcome adversity, and build success in the life they envision. We want Spartans to be engaged in our program by feeling welcomed and included at our school.

Mission Statement: The school counseling program at Cascade Middle School is to inspire academic and behavioral excellence by creating a safe, equitable, and accessible environment. Our program provides developmentally appropriate activities including individual and small-group counseling and classroom lessons to help students develop beneficial knowledge and skills for overcoming real-world challenges. By engaging in nurturing school counseling experiences, all students can receive individualized brief interventions to equip them with the capacity to remove academic, career, and social-emotional barriers in hopes to promote successful future leaders. We strive for collaboration and connection with our students and their community to provide holistic support for all students. School counselors at Cascade advocate for fairness, justice, and respect for all.
