Melissa Cox

I have been teaching in the Auburn School District for seventeen years. I have been a first grade teacher here at Arthur Jacobsen since the opening day! I grew up in a military family and spent my childhood moving around to many different places. I attended Washington State University and graduated with a BA in Elementary Education. I have also received a Masters in Elementary Reading and Mathematics. I like to spend my free-time with my husband, 7 year old daughter, and 4 year old son. I enjoy traveling, spending time with friends and family and cheering on the Cougs and Seahawks.

Erica Covey

I have been teaching in the Auburn School District for 12 years.  I grew up in Colorado, but prior to moving to  Washington I spent a few years in Alaska enjoying all of its wonders.  I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Colorado and Master in Education from Western Governors University. I have been involved with coaching for Special Olympics, NCAA National Youth Sports Program and 5th grade basketball, and my kids sports teams. I have a 10th grader and 8th grader that keep me busy when I am not enjoying my time in the classroom.
