College NOW Informational Video

During their junior and senior years, Auburn HS students can participate in the College NOW program through Lincoln Land Community College.

Students take 4 classes at Auburn High School in the morning and are enrolled in 2 LLCC classes in the afternoon.

Students earn 6 college credits per semester, which means if they participate in both their junior and senior years they can graduate high school with a total of 24 college credits.

Students and their families pay all LLCC tuition, fees, and purchase textbooks. Financial aid is not available. Costs are approximately $1,000-$1,200 PER SEMESTER ($2,000-$2,400 for a full year).

All courses are held on the LLCC campus.

Benefits

• Students can earn up to 24 college credits which can be used at LLCC or transferred to another institution. These are typical freshmen level courses which transfer through the Illinois Articulation Initiative (to find out if they transfer to a specific school, students need to contact the desired institution).

• Students are able to get out of a full traditional high school schedule.

• Although students are not taking traditional high school courses, they are still eligible to participate in high school athletic and extracurricular activities and maintain all other rights of high school students like attending prom, graduation, etc.
