About Me
About Me
Hello, everyone! My name is Kelley Burgess (BER - jiss), and I teach 8th grade Advanced and On-Level science classes at Owens Middle School. This is my 24th year teaching, and I love it!
I was born and raised in New Jersey and graduated from the University of Maryland, but I have lived in Texas for many years. I am married with one son who is a senior at Pilot Point High School.
I love insects, spiders, snakes, and all that yucky stuff!! Kids know me for my love of science and my crazy collection of sloth plushies.
We’ll be exploring physics, chemistry, space, weather, and so much more! My passion is to challenge my students while helping them get ready for high school. It's just around the corner!
