Welcome new families and students! Please explore our new student site and submit your course requests for the year. We are glad you are here!
For the safety and smooth flow of our school day, it's important that all families follow our arrival and dismissal procedures. These routines help keep everyone safe and ensure that students arrive and leave campus in an orderly manner.
The front (north entrance) is for bus drop-off and pick-up only. The only exceptions are for students arriving late or leaving the school premises during the school day.
Parents picking up students will enter the west entrance off Sherman Drive and then proceed to the back of the building, allowing us to safely clear cars from West Sherman Drive. (Please follow the green arrows on the picture below.) For the safety of our staff and students, please do NOT drive through the teacher parking lot and loop back out. Cones have been placed to indicate this is not the correct route. During dismissal, the drive is a one-way entrance and exit.
Our daily bell schedule helps keep the school day running smoothly and ensures students are where they need to be on time. It includes start and end times, passing periods, and unch schedules.
Here, you’ll find important resources like the Student Code of Conduct and the Student Handbook—both designed to support a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment for every student. These tools outline expectations, responsibilities, and helpful information to guide students through their school day with confidence. We encourage you to take a moment to review them together as a family. Thank you for being our partners in helping every student shine!
The district’s dress code is established to teach grooming and hygiene, prevent disruption, and minimize safety hazards. Students and parents may determine a student’s personal dress and grooming standards, provided that they comply with the district guidelines. Our goal is to support a positive, respectful learning environment where all students can focus and feel comfortable.
The district’s dress code is established to teach grooming and hygiene, prevent disruption, and minimize safety hazards. Students and parents may determine a student’s personal dress and grooming standards, provided that they comply with the following:
Other Guidelines
Hats, hoods, and caps are not permitted in the school building.
Tattoos must be hidden from view at all times.
Students may wear earrings that are not distracting (pins, spikes, gauges, and other body piercings are not acceptable).
Visible body piercings such as tongue rings, eyebrow, or nose piercings are not acceptable.
Sunglasses may not be worn in the building unless approved with a physician’s note.
Excessive makeup or jewelry is not acceptable.
The district reserves the right to prohibit any clothing or grooming style that the administration determines to pose health or safety hazards or that may cause the disruption of, distraction from, or interference with general school operations. The district also reserves the right to alter the dress code for special occasions as deemed necessary by the campus administrator.
If the principal determines that a student’s grooming or clothing violates the school’s dress code, the student will be given an opportunity to correct the problem at school. If not corrected, the student may be assigned to in-school suspension for the remainder of the day, until the problem is corrected, or until a parent or designee brings an acceptable change of clothing to the school. Repeated offenses may result in more serious disciplinary action in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
At Aubrey ISD, healthy available meals are important to us.
Students choosing to be served are required by USDA standards to include a fruit or vegetable on their tray at lunchtime meal service. A student may select an entree and then add their choice of milk, fruits, vegetables, and breads that are available on the line. Students must select at least three of the five components for the tray to be considered a meal. Whenever possible, the menu includes whole grain products as well as fresh fruits and vegetables. Extra servings of the same component or meals containing 6 or more components will result in an additional charge. Snack items are also made available for purchase.
For more information regarding meals at school, please visit the AISD Child Nutrition site.
In addition to standard methods of communication, such as email and phone calls, our school district utilizes the Talking Points for Parents App (and SMS text messaging through Talking Points) to communicate with parents. Talking Points allows us to communicate in over 140 languages.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
Durham Transportation is our Transportation provider. They can be reached at 940-668-0060, option 4, or by email.
Register your child for Transportation. Your student must be registered to be eligible for the Bus Service. Students who are not registered may be denied transportation services.
Please return this form to our registrar, Jan Webb.
For students who start after the first day of school, please allow us 24 - 48 hours to route your student. Your student will need you to provide transportation services on their first and second day.
Students will only be allowed to ride the bus to which they are assigned, so please make arrangements for your child if they are going home with a friend or if they miss the bus.
Durham has a mobile app for families BusZone.
To set up BusZone:
Download the BusZone app from the App Store or Google Play.
Enter the School Access Code: 3107AISD
In the search field, enter the bus or route number you want to follow.
Complete this step for all the buses your students ride throughout the week.
Enter your child’s unique student ID. This is the same ID you use in ParentPortal.
Create “alert zones” around drop-off and pick-up points.
When your child’s bus enters an alert zone, you will receive a notification by email or text.
