Texas Parks and Wildlife Hunter Education Certification

TPWD Hunter Education Course: Students will complete the Texas Parks and Wildlife Hunter Education Course. At the conclusion of the course, students have the option to obtain the Hunter Education Certification Card. Obtaining the card is optional. However, all students will participate and complete the same coursework as the unit is part of the Outdoor Education curriculum. The fee for the Hunter Education Certification card is collected during the unit of instruction and not at the first of the year. This is not a license to hunt, the student will need to complete the course and obtain a card in order to get a license. Firearms or live ammunition will not be used at school. Gun safety will taught using plain stock rifles commonly used by drill teams or color guards.
