FAQ's

Here are some FAQ's students have or mention as to why the have worries about choir.

1. “Do I have to sing by myself in front of the class?”

No, you will not have to sing by yourself in front of the class.

2. “I’m not a good singer” “I don’t know how to sing”…

No problem at all. That is my job to teach you. You will learn how to properly use your voice to sing.

3. “Do we only sing boring songs?”

Of course not! We sing a variety of songs from classical to popular throughout the year.

4. “Is choir for boys and girls?

YES! Choir is for everyone. As the program grows, more sections will become available as well.

5. “Will there be solos and do you make everyone try out?”

There will be solo opportunities during the year, especially for our Pop Concert, however, I will not make you try out if you do not want to.

6. “How many concerts will we have this year and do I have to attend the concerts?”

We will have 3-4 concerts in a typical year with 3-4 social events that are not singing related, but building relationships with peers. The concerts are mandatory, but the social events are optional.

7. “Do I have to audition for choir?”

No. All you need to do is email Mr. Norris at pnorris@aubreyisd.net and I will talk with the counselors.
