Temple Grandin Presentation-

A bunch of FFA kids went to Perry High School to listen to Temple Grandin's presentation. It was a great opportunity for the kids to do, so we are so happy that they had to chance to go and listen to her speak!
Sub-State Competitions-
March 15th, 2025
Beau Hyman, Liesel Hyman, and Addie Day traveled to Lyons school district to compete in both Jr. and Sr. Creed speaking. We are proud of all three of you to make it that far! And a special congratulations to Addie Day for getting first place in Jr. Creed. She will now advance to State Convention to do the Creed again. Good luck!!
Annual Pancake Breakfast-
February 9th, 2025
FFA held their annual pancake breakfast at the North Java Fire Hall and it was a great success. We want to thank everyone who came to support as well as all of our donors. It is greatly appreciated!!
District Competitions-
January 29th, 2025
Two middle schoolers and three high schoolers traveled to Warsaw high to compete in both Junior and Senior Creed Speaking. Liesel Hyman, Beau Hyman, and Addie Day are moving onto sub states to compete. But good job to each member who competed, we are very proud!!
Shop With A Cop-
December, 2024
A few members of our Middle School chapter went to the Warsaw Walmart and had a table of snacks and crafts for kids to participate in while they were waiting for their turn to shop with a cop.
Teacher Appreciation-
November 26,2024
Before Thanksgiving break our chapter put together tables by the Middle School and High School offices and handed out donuts, coffee, juice, and milk to all of our wonderful teachers and staff as a thank you for all they do!
National Convention-
October 22-27, 2024
Four of our high school members went to Indianapolis Indiana to attend the 97th National Convention. They participated in the various workshops and activities that were available there. They also went to a rodeo and concert to see Meghan Moroney.
Camp Oswegatchie-
September 2024
Our chapter went to the Oswegatchie Camp in the Adirondacks again this year. We did many activities to help with leadership skills and build bonds within the members.
Pike Fair 2024
Our chapter created a booth and float at Pike Fair this year to match the theme of "Treasure Chest's of the Country's Best", which we won second place for our booth. A lot of our chapter rode on the float in the parade on Monday night, which was also a great success.
We celebrated our chapter with our yearly banquet with good food, speeches, gifts, and an ice cream sundae bar. We would like to wish the seniors and Mrs. Barber good luck with their futures, and are looking forward to seeing them next year!
Every year, the Elementary School hosts a farm day event for the students to learn more about agricultural topics. This year, our FFA chapter created a lesson about the different soil levels in Western New York. Members helped to teach the lesson, make a snack of worms and dirt, and play games! A group of our HS and MS members presented our 2024-2025 Program of Activities to our Board of Education members. This was a great opportunity to show the Board everything that we do every year and show that we are super busy every month!
Nineteen members of our chapter had the opportunity to travel to Buffalo for the 99th NY FFA State Convention. While we were there, we got to enjoy Niagara Falls, the NY Power Vista, competitions, sessions, the expo, vendor bingo, and workshops. We had many members compete, having two Senior Quiz Bowl teams, one Junior Quiz Bowl team, a Maple team, and a Tool ID team. We would like to congratulate Tanner Day for placing 10th in the Maple CDE and our Quiz Bowl team consisting of Olivia Bernacki, Ruby Baratta, Ellie Gominiak, and Brooke Luck for making it to the fourth round in Quiz Bowl. During Friday's session, our Advisor, Mrs. Barber received her Honorary Empire Degree, for her time within our AG program. Although we only stayed the night Thursday to Friday, a few of our members had the opportunity to ride back on Saturday to receive our Chapter Award and watch Maddie King receive her Empire Degree. We are so proud of everyone's accomplishments over the past three days, and we cannot wait to see what the 100th convention has in store for us!
Our FFA chapter reached out to previous FFA members from the 1950s-1980s to come and enjoy a catered lunch to learn more about our chapter's past. Previous members were able to share stories about their time in FFA and reminisce with old friends.
One of our senior members, Brooke Luck, started a pop tab drive to collect pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. From all three schools, she was able to collect 42 pounds of tabs to donate!
Our FFA chapter was asked by Byron Bergen's FFA to start a collection of hygiene products to donate to a place of our choosing. All the products that we're collecting will be donated to the Gateway House in Attica!
Brooke and Emily went down to the Elementary School to teach Mrs. Stenson's 4th grade STEAM class about Peanut Production! The class was able to make their own trail mixes to eat and enjoy while finishing up their day!
Our HS and MS members along with our recent alumni got together for our March Night Meeting at the Bennington Lanes to all go bowling together!
Our HS members created sayings to hand out to the Senior class to promote safe driving and driving without cell phones.
Students in Mrs. Barber's first period class participated in a charcuterie board competition. Winners results are coming soon!
Due to our President's Day break, we have extended our FFA week celebrations! Our MS members put together dress up days for the 5th-8th graders and decorated our AG hallway! During our Presidents' Day break, some of our members went down to the Warsaw Tractor Supply to show off what our chapter does and to interact with members of the community.
Our HS members got together to exchange Valentines with each other to celebrate the holiday!
Brooke and Emily went down to the Elementary School to teach a lesson about Rose Production to Mrs. Stenson's STEAM class. After the lesson, students made a paper rose craft to bring home to their families for Valentine's Day!
Our annual pancake breakfast and basket raffle fundraiser, at the North Java Fire Hall, was a large success! Thank you to everyone who came to support us and to all the parents that helped with set up and cooking!
Four of our HS and MS students competed in competitions at Springville. Brooke Luck and Claire Zehler competed in Employment Skills, and Addie Day and Samantha Zawilski competed in Jr. Creed Speaking. We would like to congratulate Addie Day on placing second in her competition!
Members of our MS and HS chapters got together to decorate cookies with a winter theme. Each group had a challenge that they had to incorporate into their cookies. We would like to thank Mr. Snyder for judging our competition and choosing our top 3 cookies!
Brooke and Emily went down to the Elementary School to teach a lesson about Cocoa Production to Mrs. Stenson's STEAM class. After the lesson, students were able to make their own hot chocolate mix to use once they were home!
A group of our members sold hot cocoa, candy canes, and cookies to the 5th through 7th graders to donate to the Charlotte House! Since there was extra hot chocolate, they brought the cart to the HS lobby and sold even more! This was a big hit, and we're looking forward to doing something like this again in the near future!
A group of our FFA members went down to the elementary school to educate 2nd graders about Christmas around the world! They got to make a marshmallow snowman, read a book, learn about Christmas traditions around the world, do a Christmas tree craft with flag ornaments, and read a story about the different desserts left out for Santa.
Our FFA chapter hosted a maple education seminar for local maple producers and community members to meet together and learn more about maple production. This year was a success with many vendors and participants!!
Our officer team, members from the Board of Education, and Attica Partners for AG had the opportunity to tour Springville's AG program and interact with their FFA officers and members.
Our pop tab drive is running now through the beginning of April. Pictured on the left is the Elementary School's collection so far, with our collection bin being completely full!! Please bring in any pop tabs to any of the Attica schools for our donation towards the Ronald McDonald House!
A group of our members set up a coffee and donuts table for the high school and middle school teachers to show our appreciation for them and everything they do (and for letting us miss so much school for our events)!
Our FFA officer team went to Escape City Buffalo for some team bonding! In the escape room, they all had to work together to find clues and unlock new rooms!
A group of our High School and Middle School members met with important people in agriculture and other FFA member to discuss agricultural topics that are effecting us in New York State. Everyone got together and had a catered breakfast, then moved to a round table discussion where everyone got to ask questions to our guest panel about agriculture in NY. We would like to thank everyone on the panel and everyone that came to support our event!
Two of our high school FFA members, Brooke and Emily, went down to the elementary school to educate Mrs. Stenson's 4th grade STEAM class about turkey production, and did a craft on with chemical indicators. A December lesson is in the process of being created!
Our FFA chapter has been working on sewing over 150 rice heat packs to donate to the Office of the Aging to give back to the community.
Our middle and high school FFA chapters were able to come together to have a cookout during their lunch periods. This was an opportunity for members to bond and get to know each other, all while enjoying good food!
Our FFA chapter got to adventure up to the Adirondaks for our annual Camp Oswegatchie camping trip! The weekend was full of hiking, kayaking, and team bonding. It's always nice to spend extra time with our members!
On September 13th, we hosted our annual chicken barbecue, selling nearly 400 dinners. Money raised from this event will help to fund our different events during the school year. Thank you to all that came out to support us!
