Simply stated, it is using store gift certificates (gift/debit) instead of cash or check. Use Scrip instead of cash or credit card to cut tuition costs and support school programs without spending a penny more than you normally would.

Beginning January 1, 2019 you will have the option of applying 75% of the income generated by Scrip purchases to a student who has a completed Scrip Tuition Account application on file in the school office.

Any student of Peace Lutheran School and Preschool may establish a Scrip Tuition Account by completing the required applications. All applications are online and can be submitted through this link.

Anyone (grandparents, friends, neighbors, etc.) can purchase Scrip and designate it for your family or the tuition assistance fund.

Great, then you are already familiar with this fantastic program! However, if you would like to participate in the tuition program for yourself or another family, then you will still need to fill out a Scrip Tuition Account application.

Scrip can be purchased anywhere and at any time using their website. Scrip can be purchased and available immediately with the Scrip Now! Online orders can be paid for through Prestopay, the convenient payment system available on ShopWithScrip.com. Connect your bank account to enable Prestopay. When you use PrestoPay, your order payment is transferred securely via electronic debit for a small $ 0.15 convenience fee with each order.

Scrip will be available for purchase in the school office, except during school breaks. Orders will be placed on the 1st Tuesday of each month. Any exceptions will be noted in the Wednesday Panther Press. Order forms with payment will need to be in the school office by 9:00 am on the date of the order.

Scrip orders should be available for pick up on the Friday of the week orders were placed. Parents can have their child serve as courier if parents choose to do so. No scrip will be mailed. Scrip certificates are non returnable.

1. 75 percent of the net profits may be used as tuition credit for a current or future student of Peace Lutheran School and Preschool. The remaining 25 percent will be placed into the general assistance fund in the school checking and savings account. If you do not have a family tuition account to apply it to, it will be added to the general tuition assistance fund.

2. Tuition credit disbursements will only be made to a Peace Lutheran School tuition account.

3. Credits accumulated January 1 through June 30 will be applied to the first semester tuition or fees for the following school year. This would be credited to account in August. Credit accumulated July 1 through December 31 will be applied to the second semester tuition. This would be credited to account in January.

4. No refunds will be given for unused credits. Unused credits may be applied to another student’s account or will be applied to the Peace Lutheran tuition assistance fund.

5. There is no minimum or maximum amount of credit an account owner can accumulate. Anything not used for a current student may be applied to another student’s account or to the general assistance fund.

1. Scrip purchases may be made with cash or check. ScripNow! and Reload options are also available online using the PrestoPay option.

2. Scrip purchases are not tax deductible because you receive dollar for dollar value.

3. If a check is returned because of non-sufficient funds (NSF), a $30 fee payable to Peace Lutheran School will be charged. After two NSF checks are tendered on an account, Scrip ordering privileges will be limited to cash only.

4. Scrip cards and certificates are the same as cash and should be handled accordingly. Peace will not be responsible for cards or certificates that are lost, stolen or misplaced while in your possession.

5. No interest will be earned on Scrip profits.
