ENGLISH I: 9th Grade        Prerequisite: 8th grade ELA 

This course is a comprehensive study of the English language, encompassing word study, grammar, writing, reading, listening, and speaking. Students will encounter various texts (short stories, poetry, drama, novels, plays, etc.) that they will analyze and use as a springboard for multiple writing and critical thinking assignments throughout the year. 

English I course is a graduation requirement.
