Destiny Parent Portal Information

Access your child’s library account

Atlanta ISD acknowledges that parents and guardians are the primary decision-makers for their student’s library access. Students may choose their own materials with staff assistance; however, parents or guardians have the final say on what is considered appropriate.

In the Destiny Parent Portal, you will have access to:

• • View books available in your child’s school library;

  • View a checkout history of your child/children, and

  • Block specific book titles to prevent your child from checking them out of the library.

For questions or assistance, contact your child's librarian or library media specialist.

Access Student Library Information

Use the email address tied to your child's Ascender registration - it is the same email you use to sign in to ParentSquare.

Each student can be connected to two email addresses.

• • Primary contact - has full access to all options, including blocking and unblocking titles.

  • Secondary contact - has view-only access to blocking and unblocking titles.

Go to the Destiny Portal Verification Page.

Your access code is valid for 10 minutes.

• • If the code expires, click "Resend Code" on the "Get Access Code" page.

  • The email is from no-reply@follettsoftware.com with the subject: "Additional User Type Access Code."

  • If you receive the code more than once, refresh your screen and re-enter your email address before attempting to log in again.

  • An incorrect code will display an "Invalid Access Code" message.

Enter Your Access Code page:

• • Type in your access code.

  • To stay logged in for 60 days (or until you log out), select the "Keep me logged in on this device" option. If you don't see this option, you'll need a new access code for each login.

Features

Once you’re logged in, the options available to you will depend on your role or contact status with the student.

• Blocked titles - Titles will stay blocked for a student from year to year and will carry over if the student moves to a different school in the district. These titles can only be unblocked by the student’s primary contact.

The names of the children linked to your email are in the top-right corner. To switch students, use the dropdown menu.

Options

• Search: Find materials by title, author, or subject. In the results, click the (...) icon to the right of a title to block it from checkout.

  • View More Details: See expanded information about a title.

• Checkouts: View current checkouts.

• History: View checkout history and current checkouts.

• Blocked:  View titles marked as blocked.  Click to remove the block on a title.
