Digital Information and Technology Services
Digital Information and Technology Services
In 2022, the University recognized the need for a unified and strategic approach to IT management to support its goals of innovation and accessible education. To address this need, the Digital Information and Technology Services (DITS) cluster was established, led by a CIO and Vice President for DITS. The mandate of DITS is to govern IT assets, standardize policies, and provide a comprehensive roadmap to drive the University’s technological advancement.
The DITS cluster aims to position the University at the forefront of innovation and accessible education. By focusing on running, growing, and transforming the University's IT operations, DITS ensures the institution can respond effectively to evolving changes, capitalize on opportunities, and maintain its leadership position in the industry.
The DITS cluster encompasses various IT Service Management functions, including:
Defining Strategic Directions: Setting the landscape for systems, data, security, and infrastructure to ensure alignment with the University's goals.
Managing Day-to-Day IT Operations: Ensuring smooth and efficient IT operations to support the University’s functions.
Developing IT Capabilities: Enhancing the skills of IT personnel and end-users to fully leverage technology in their roles.
