Instructions for Presenters
All sessions will be held at The Loft, Areté, Ateneo de Manila University.
Please check the schedule of your presentation in the Programme.
Before the Session Begins
Check in with your session chair.
Introduce yourself and state the title of your paper.
During the Session
The session chair will begin by welcoming the audience.
The session chair will introduce the time keeper to the presenters.
Note the following time limits for the different types of presentations
Keynote Speeches: 45 minutes for presentation, 15 minutes for Question and Answer
Paper Presentations: 15 minutes for presentation, 5 minutes for Question and Answer
Tutorials: 25 minutes for presentation, 5 minutes for Question and Answer
Invited Talks: 45 minutes for presentation, 15 minutes for Question and Answer
Demos: 25 minutes for presentation, 5 minutes for Question and Answer
The time keeper will be provided with cards indicating how much time the speaker has left. The time keeper will signal the speaker when the speaker has 5 minutes, 2 minutes and 1 minute left. When time is up, the time keeper will hold up the WRAP UP card. If the speaker goes over time, the session chair will try to intervene.
After the presentation, the session chair will ask the audience for questions.
If the presenter goes over time, the session chair will reduce the time from the Question and Answer portion.
General Notes
Please bring your own computer for the presentation to prevent potential compatibility issues. The connection between the computer and the projector is via HDMI. A laptop will be available for participants' use, if necessary. Also please bring a USB memory stick (flash drive) with you with copies of your presentation (PowerPoint and PDF).
Please set up and test your presentation in the designated room prior to your session.
