INFORMATION FOR PARENTS & STUDENTS

This is our ONE BIG fundraiser for our Outdoor Science Camp! We need all your support so we can reach our goal. Below you’ll find all the important information regarding the CAMP CARD SALES. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Asaro. Let’s go!!

WHAT ARE CAMP CARDS? Camp Cards are essentially a prize calendar with fabulous prize packages. The 5th grade students will sell raffle tickets and one winner will be drawn each day of the calendar to win that day’s prize.
WHEN DO THE STUDENTS SELL TICKETS? Tickets will be sold from April 9 - 29. All sold ticket stubs as well as all unsold tickets will be due back to the school by April 29th.

HOW MUCH IS A TICKET? Each ticket is $20. We accept cash or checks made payable to Monterey Road Elementary ASB.
WHAT PART OF THE TICKET DOES THE BUYER KEEP? The buyer keeps the big part of the ticket (left side) and the student keeps the FILLED OUT right stub of the ticket to turn in along with the money collected. Please give them a prize calendar as well.
HOW WILL THE BUYER KNOW IF THEY WON? We will contact each winner with the contact information they provided on the ticket stub. Winners will also be posted daily on the MRES Facebook page and the MRES website homepage.
CAN WE GET MORE TICKETS? YES!! Each student is given 10 tickets to start with, if you sell those 10 you can get 10 more.
WHAT IF WE DO NOT SELL THEM ALL? We really hope you sell them all, but if you don’t, just return the unsold tickets to school by, along with the stubs you did sell.
WHAT ARE THE PRIZES THE BUYERS COULD POSSIBLY WIN? Enclosed with this packet is a calendar listing each prize package and the date it will be raffled off. A full description of the prize package is below the calendar. PLEASE GIVE EACH BUYER A CALENDAR ALONG WITH THEIR TICKET STUB. Prize packages are valued at $200 and up!
CAN MY STUDENT WIN PRIZES FOR SELLING THE MOST TICKETS? YES!! The top three selling students will win one of the prizes listed below. The top seller gets 1st choice of prize, 2nd place gets the 2nd choice of prizes, and 3rd place gets the 3rd choice.

The 5th grade classes are the only ones selling CAMP CARDS, so you can sell to other MRES families from lower grades as well as neighbors, coworkers and friends from outside of school.

IF YOU SELL 10 TICKETS, that will completely cover your camp fees!
