About our Staff
The TEDxAmerican School of Warsaw staff is composed entirely of ASW affiliates, who are arranged as follows:
The Organizer is the primary licensee and the ultimate steward of the event. As the most senior ranking member of the TEDxAmerican School of Warsaw staff, the Organizer manages the executive team. The Organizer is also the point of contact for the TEDx team and knows the rules and processes and everything it takes to put on a successful TEDx event.
The Co-organizer shares the leadership role with the Organizer. They oversee the entire TEDx event (e.g. operation, marketing, design, editorial, finance, production, and media) and take ownership of certain primary tasks.
The Curator prepares speakers for their eventual TED-talk. In the weeks leading up to April 4, the Curator will provide constructive feedback to speakers on their pre-prepared scripts and will act as the contact point between speakers and staff.
The Executive Producer leads all production planning for the day of the event. They oversee all the roles happening on the day of the event related to content production, stage management, technology, and video.
The Event Manager coordinates most of the event’s day-of logistics and is responsible for creating a “TEDx experience” for visiting guests. They manage day-of-event activities outside of the stage and are in charge of registration needs.
The Budget Coordinator is responsible for all financial aspects of the event, including fundraising through bake sales and managing expenditures (e.g. purchases of TEDx-customized merchandise, and payments of outsourced stage designs).
The Designer helps create the event logo, TEDx-customized merchandise, branding materials, and other aesthetic components of the event. They work to ensure maximally engaging atmospheres for guests.
The Marketing Director is the person responsible for developing the event website (www.tedxaswarsaw.com) and updating social medias. They create an online presence that is accessible and easily managed since updates will be shared with the community there.
The Editorial Director builds and manages a strong community presence for TEDxAmerican School of Warsaw, including a blog (on eNotes and the HS Bulletin). They are supported by the Marketing Director in this work.
The Video and Production Lead oversees the video and production of the event—from managing audio and video needs, camera operators, and the live stream of the event.
The Assistant Staff is comprised of two subdivisions: logistic coordination, and videography & photography. They are additional volunteers assisting the executive team in their tasks and supporting them on the day of the event.
