Outreach Opportunities

Girls in STEM @ AZ Science Center:
Volunteer opportunities usually involve attending one of our Girls in STEM events to help facilitate an activity, talk about your chosen field, and/or answer questions about your personal journey in STEM. Additionally, if volunteers ever have an idea for their own activity/demonstration/etc. we are happy to help implement that when possible! One of the primary goals of our Girls in STEM initiative is to encourage and nurture students' interest in STEM professions by connecting them with real working and studying members of the STEM community.

**IMMEDIATE OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY:

There is a request for chemists to volunteer for an afternoon at the AZ Science Center!

A Message from Grace Auclair: Our soonest upcoming opportunity is on October 16th to kick off National Chemistry Week; we are looking for chemists in the community to come help out with our activities and provide mentorship to our participants so they can meet real chemists and discover different journeys into the world of STEM. If this sounds like a good fit for any members of the Women in Science Program, please let me know. Also feel free to provide my information to anybody who may be interested in this event or in future volunteer opportunities. If there is interest, I am happy to send along more information about our October event. Email: girlsinstem@azscience.org
