Our Mission & What We Do
The mission of the Sports, Parks and Recreation Club is to enrich the academic, social, and professional experiences of School of Community Resources and Development majors. SPARC provides opportunities for community service, networking, professional development, leadership, learning, and FUN!
About SPARC
SPARC was started in the year 2014 at the ASU Downtown Phoenix Campus with the goal of providing a club that will help students interested in sports, parks, and recreation engage with professionals in those fields. These opportunities take place in our SPARC speaker series and our annual SPARC Conference (during the Spring). In addition, students have the opportunity to engage in various events that range across the sectors of social, service, and professional development.
Get Involved
SPARC is open to all ASU students regardless of major and is only $5 to join! You can become a member at any time by joining our SunDevilSync page. Once you've done that, click here to pay your dues then you can go ahead and start signing up for our events which you can find on the "upcoming events" tab above! If you have any questions please reach out to Club Advisor Eric Legg via Eric.Legg@asu.edu or President Katlyn Skabelund via kjskabel@asu.edu.
