Originally from southern Saudi Arabia, I am currently pursuing a PhD in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics with a focus on L2 learners' identity. My academic journey has been shaped by both my experiences as an English language learner and my professional work teaching Linguistics, Translation, and second language courses to undergraduate students at KKU. These experiences have sparked my interest in how language, identity, and social context intersect, particularly in multilingual and multidialectal environments.
Through my research, I explore topics such as L2 identity, language ideologies, and dialect variation, with a particular focus on Saudi Arabian contexts. I am especially interested in how learners negotiate their identities through language and how educational practices can better support meaningful engagement with L2 beyond the classroom.
Alongside my academic work, I value cultural exchange and continuous learning. Having studied and worked across different contexts, I enjoy engaging with diverse perspectives and exploring new ideas. I remain committed to developing research and teaching practices that are both contextually relevant and socially impactful.
