I am originally from Plymouth MA and later became a Maryland transplant. I moved to Newton, MA in 2011 to pursue Communications and Graphic Design at Lasell University. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I spent nearly a decade in graphic design and marketing. Throughout that time, I desired a change in careers that felt more impactful. In 2021 I was fortunate to land a position in 8th grade language arts at Davis Middle School.
I returned to school through Arizona State University to begin my master’s in English. Throughout my studies, I’ve developed a strong interest in curriculum design and teaching literacy. These experiences have deepened my commitment to teaching where I continue to apply it in my classroom and plan to pursue curriculum design after my career in teaching.
When I’m not talking academics and work, I enjoy spending time with my incredible wife and wonderful daughters. I’m passionate about cooking and baking as well as mental and physical health. I love taking my kids to the comic book shop and have them run over to me to tell them about the character on the comic they picked. I’m always open to checking out a new coffee shop or old bookstore. Please click through for a glimpse of my unforgettable journey!
