Course Recommendations

First two semesters:

• MAE 501 Linear Algebra in Engineering or EGR 501 Applied Linear Algebra for Engineers 

• MAE 547 Modeling and Control of Robots or EGR 545 Robotics 1 

*Recommend to take EGR 501 & 545 concurrently in the Fall semester

First or second semester: 

• CSE 571 Artificial Intelligence

Second semester and on:

• Second AI Concentration course (CSE 5xx)

Deficiency courses are not assigned for this degree program; however students who have not taken Data Structures and Algorithms during their undergraduate career are strongly recommended to take the following course at ASU. The concepts taught in this course are required in order to be successful in the AI concentration courses!

• • CSE 310 Data Structures and Algorithms - Pre-requisite for many of the CSE 5xx level courses, including CSE 571. 

    • • You are welcome to take the online exam to test your knowledge in this area (optional). Cost is $59.
