CSE 551 Foundations of Algorithms - Required in first semester

EEE 554 Probability and Random Processes - Required first or second semester

Deficiency courses are not assigned for this degree program; however students who have not taken Data Structures and Algorithms or Random Signal Analysis (or equivalent course) during their undergraduate career are strongly recommended to take the following courses at ASU. The concepts taught in these courses are required in order to be successful in the core courses!

• • CSE 310 Data Structures and Algorithms - Pre-requisite for many of the CSE 4xx & 5xx level courses, including CSE 551. 

    • • You are welcome to take the online exam to test your knowledge in this area (optional). Cost is $59.
