About Roberto

Hello Everyone! I am Roberto Perez, I am 29 years of age, married with 2 daughters (ages 5 and 8), and currently live in Tracy, CA. I have always lived in the bay area, I was born in Oakland, and primarily grew up in the city of San Leandro. I recently moved to Tracy, which is about 40 mins away from the bay area, here I live with my wife, her family, and our loving pets.

My Major is Business Administration, and I look forward to selecting a minor in the near future to supplement my major. I have always worked in the business industry, primarily within the Hospitality field. I have always wanted to pursue my Bachelor's as it is a dream of mine, I also want to be the first in my family to achieve this.

I currently work as an EVS (Environmental Services) Supervisor with the County Of Santa Clara, home Of Silicon Valley, there I oversee the Environmental Services team at a hospital. My team and I's responsibilities are to ensure that the cleanliness of all areas within the hospital are immaculate, and germ free, to ensure the environment for all patients and staff members are safe.

During my time away from work, my wife and I enjoy spending time with our pets. We have a German Shepherd puppy, two Guinea Pigs, and a Main Coon cat. We also love to explore new food, given the variety of cultures that there are in the Bay Area, we take advantage of the large amount of food there is to try. Along with our daughters, we love to explore many new sightseeing locations and parks, with the vast geography that California has to offer, we take the opportunity to explore and enjoy it all.

My professional accomplishments include my ability to take in the roles I have gained in the last decade, through hard work and dedication I have been promoted various times in a short span of time. My personal accomplishments are my wife and children, I have an enormous support system at home, who uplift me in all aspects and ensure that I have a great foundation at home, to help cope and tackle all matters that may come towards me.

My academic goal is to be able to achieve my degree within a 4yr time span, regardless of all that I have going on outside of the University. Furthermore, I also want to be able to finish my degree with a GPA of 3.5 or better, as I have always strived on myself to achieve superior grades throughout my academic career. Professionally, my goal is to become a Director at the company where I currently work. In my last years prior to retiring, I aspire to attain a role as a President of Operations, or run a company as a CEO.

I am a very easy going, social and amiable person who loves meeting new challenges, and I look forward to ASU giving me all the challenges I seek to assist in helping me grow both professionally and personally.
