RHAAZ came about as the result of technical assistance visits with recovery home stakeholders. During our visits we identified strengths and resources within recovery homes, as well as important needs related to education and technical assistance.
We aim to achieve the following through RHAAZ:
reduce stigma about medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD)
increase access to recovery housing for those who utilize MOUD
help owners and managers create welcoming and equitable homes for diverse client populations
promote the development and sustainability of recovery homes

This work was made possible through a collaboration between the Arizona Recovery Home Association (AzRHA) and the ASU Southwest Interdisciplinary Research Center (SIRC) Opioid Initiatives, with funding from AHCCCS and SAMHSA.
