My name is Rachel, and I've been teaching ENG 101 for Writers' Studio within The School of Applied Sciences and Arts, a part of the ASU College of Integrative Sciences and Arts, since 2019.
While I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I've been lucky to call many places home over the years. I earned my undergraduate degree in English at Davidson College in North Carolina before going on to complete my MFA in Creative Writing (poetry, specifically) at Arizona State University (if you're interested, you can find some of my creative work here). Over the course of my career, I’ve taught courses in English, composition, and creative writing at the middle school, high school, and college level.
These days, I live in Maryland with my husband, who is an Associate Professor of Communication and English who specializes in the history of rhetoric, and our sons.
If you need to get in touch with me about your coursework, I hope you'll get in touch by emailing me at rachel.andoga@asu.edu. Remember, I am only permitted to communicate with ASU email accounts, so please make sure you're logged into your ASU account.
