DON'T MISS THE EDUCATION EXPO - Tempe Campus - Tuesday, November 4th 2025
Student teaching is the culminating phase of a teacher candidate's preparation in the final term of their education program. During this immersive experience, aspiring teachers work full time in a PK-12 classroom to apply knowledge and skills gained from MLFC Education courses, including learning theory, classroom management, instructional methods, and assessment. Aspiring teachers will demonstrate proficiency in the four domains of the ASU Teaching Observation Instrument and qualify for an Arizona Education Teaching Certificate.
What should my Student Teacher be doing from week-to-week? Are they on track with the rest of the Student Teachers? When and how much should they be teaching?
