We are excited to hear from motivated postdocs and undergraduate and graduate students. The MOD lab researches at the intersection of many disciplines. You can join the MOD lab through several degree options in either the School of Earth and Space Exploration or the School of Life Sciences.

Undergraduate Students

If you are an undergraduate seeking part-time, paid employment, research credits, or a senior thesis project please email Dr. Trembath-Reichert with your (1) CV, (2) availability, and (3) brief email stating what interests you about working in the MOD lab.

Graduate Students

If you are a potential graduate student considering application to the MOD laboratory, please reach out to Dr. Trembath-Reichert via email and provide (1) your CV with prior research experience, (2) brief statement on your background, graduate school interests, and why the MOD laboratory is a good fit, and (3) timelines and programs that could be relevant for your application. The best way to work with the MOD lab is via Geology (SESE) or Environmental Life Sciences (SESE/SOLS) degree programs. Both of these programs have very broad scope and can be tailored based on student interests and prior coursework. MOD lab students generally take a mix of biology/bioinformatics, programming/data analysis, geochemistry, Earth science, and astrobiology courses. Note Dr. Trembath-Reichert cannot be the sole advisor for Microbiology MS or PhD (SOLS) degrees.

Postdocs

If you are a potential postdoc considering application to the MOD laboratory, please reach out to Dr. Trembath-Reichert via email and provide (1) your CV with prior research experience, (2) brief statement on your research interests and why the MOD laboratory is a good fit, and (3) relevant timelines.
