Alumni Success

We are very proud of all of our 2024 Winter School student alumni. Many of them have completed successful internships, Summer REU (Research Experiences for Undergraduates, NSF), continue their studies, and have started at or are applying for graduate schools.

Steph Meikle was awarded the prestigious NSF GRFP (Graduate Research Fellowship Program). See the announcement by their Alma Mater University of Florida here.

Matias Moreno did summer research at the University of Michigan. See the announcement of his home institute (Penn State) where he is a Rising Millenium Scholar sophomore here.

Hugo Onghai did a summer internship at the Forschungszentrum Juelich in Germany with the support of a RISE Fellowship. He also received the Chin Family UCLA Centennial Endowed Engineering Scholarship from the UCLA MSE Department.

Bradyn Weaver did summer research at the University of Łódź in Poland (see news article here) and has coauthored an article in the prestigious Journal of the American Chemical Society, see here.

Hithesh Rai Purushothama did summer research at Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin, Germany. See his blog here.
