Hello! I’m Marcus, a 30-year-old computer science enthusiast living in the vibrant city of Scottsdale, Arizona. By day, I’m a software engineer at Republic Services, where I get to indulge my passion for tech and problem-solving. By night, I’m a fitness aficionado, an amateur guitarist, and an avid gamer.

When I’m not buried in code or breaking a sweat lifting and running, I’m at home jamming on my guitar or spending quality time with my menagerie of pets and the love of my life, Jenna. Our home is a bustling hub of activity with our three dogs—Rhea and Nala, our graceful German Shepherds, and August, our tenacious pocket pit. Then there’s Cat. Yes, that’s his name, and he’s the undisputed ruler of the roost, with a personality as quirky as his given name.

My roots stretch back to Virginia where my family resides, but my life’s journey has taken me from rigorous military service — including being honored with an Operation Inherent Resolve medal for my service in Iraq — to the intricate world of tech. My goal is to carve out a reputation as a notoriously clever engineer, and I have no plans to leave the tech scene.
