1) Investigating star formation in extended ultraviolet (XUV) disk of NGC 3344.
The XUV region has a low star formation rate (SFR) surface density compared to the inner optical region and the galaxy provides an opportunity to study star formation in different regimes within the same disk.
In this work, I looked at the radial distribution of FUV and Hα SFR and studied spatially resolved Kennicutt-Schmidt law. The work was published in ApJ.
2) Anomalous HI clouds in M100.
Gim et al. 2021 investigated anomalous HI clouds in M100 (NGC 4321). In this work, I looked at the FUV and Hα map of the galaxy and studied star formation associated with one of the detected clouds.
