Location Analytics IN Business Symposium
Tuesday, August 18, 2026
University of Nevada, Reno
The 5th Annual Location Analytics for Business Symposium invites scholars, industry experts, and geospatial practitioners to explore how spatial data can improve business strategy, analysis, and decision-making.
We welcome industry professionals who can share practical applications, emerging challenges, innovative technologies, and lessons learned from using geospatial intelligence in organizations. We also invite academics who conduct research or teach courses and programs in which location-based information is central, including information systems, management, marketing, economics, real estate, supply chain, business analytics, and related disciplines.
Although much of today’s business data is spatial or spatially referenced, many organizations still lack the expertise to analyze it effectively and translate it into actionable decisions. At the same time, location analytics remains underrepresented in many business school curricula and research programs.
This symposium brings together academic thought leadership and industry experience to identify opportunities for collaboration, strengthen location analytics education and research, and help establish spatial decision-making as a critical business competency.
