Welcome to the Writers' Studio!

I am a 30 year old mother of 4 writing to you from Connecticut.
I am completing my Bachelor's degree upon the completion of this course in Family and Human Development and have an Associates degree in Liberal Arts.
Currently, I am a kindergarten teacher at a specialized school for children affected by autism spectrum disorder and related disabilities, supervisor for our 3 preschools and registered behavior technician. We provide applied behavior analysis services with individualized educational and behavioral goals for each student while immersing them in a structured school setting to prepare them for public school.
When I am not working or taking classes, you can find my kids and I in the woods exploring new trails, by a campfire making s'mores or cooking up a new concoction in the kitchen! I love to craft, camp and dance when the opportunity arises, and sometimes even when it doesn't!
As mentioned, I have four kids. My oldest son, Brycen, is 10 and loves soccer! Landon is 6 and always has a story to share. My oldest daughter, Charlie, is 2 and keeps everyone laughing; and my newest addition, Peyton, is 1 month old and loves to stay up all night long. We also have two huge dogs, JD and Bronco who accompany us on our outdoor adventures!
Upon completing my degree, I plan to continue to work in special education and help shape childcare programs to better benefit children and families by ensuring proper training is provided to those caring for the kids as well as interacting with families. I plan to structure programs according to age appropriate milestones and emphasize on building relationships with families.
