I am currently 18-years-old and living with my parents in Baileyville Illinois. It's hardly a town, but I enjoy the country setting of my life. I have just graduated from Forreston Jr/Sr High School this past year. I'm half hispanic and enjoy a lot of Spanish culture and foods at my home. I have loving parents and five siblings, ranging from 23 to 4 years of age.

At ASU online, I am currently enrolled in the exploratory program of social and human behavioral sciences. This particular field has always interested me, but I am still unsure of what specific major I want to pursue. Outside of school, I am a barista at a Starbucks. I love to craft beverages and connect with my partners and customers as work. I have been a partner at Starbucks for over a year now!

In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my family and my boyfriend, Owen. We often go on food and sweet treat dates and take hikes together at various parks. We have also been traveling! When I am not with them, I love to journal, listen to my favorite podcasts, and exercise at the gym. I also love to play and take my puppy, Yogi on walks. He's a small Yorkie and is only a puppy for now!

My academic accomplishments consist of graduating top 10% of my class and being a part of the National Honors Society in high school. Besides school, I feel proud of how far I have came mentally and emotionally in life and I look forward to see how much I will continue to grow as a person.

I am excited to find out what major I decide to pursue and what turns my life will take. My goal is to find what I love to do in this crazy life and what I decide to put my efforts into. 

To wrap this up, I thought I should add some more fun details of what makes me Julia. I love listening to all sorts of fun, "edgy" music, my favorite color is pink, and I love going on hikes. I really enjoy ASU so far and can't wait to see what the future has in store.
